Nerds 2 You is an Edmonton-based computer repair and IT support company founded in 2009 by Claudio Cividino. We provide friendly, practical on-site technology assistance for homes and businesses throughout Edmonton.
How It All Started
Claudio’s interest in computers began in 1984, when he discovered them in elementary school and convinced his parents to buy him his first computer, an Apple IIc. By 1994, his first Windows PC sparked a new interest in troubleshooting computer problems, first for himself and then for friends and others.
The idea for Nerds 2 You took shape in 2001, when Claudio worked as a computer service technician at a retail computer store. His boss occasionally sent him to customers’ homes and offices and let him decide what was fair to charge. One customer repeatedly encouraged him to start his own business—advice that stayed with him for the next eight years.
From IT Experience to a Local Business
Claudio continued building his IT experience at WorleyParsons Engineering and later at Flatiron Constructors, where he supported the Northwest Anthony Henday Drive project from 2009 to 2012. He launched Nerds 2 You as a part-time business in 2009 while continuing his full-time IT work. When the highway project ended in 2012, he made Nerds 2 You his full-time focus.
